SUCCESSFUL CLAIM

Palomar Abogados leads the recovery of more than 11.000.-€ stolen from a customer of IBERCAJA affected by a bank phishing.
A Customer of an IBERCAJA branch in Madrid, after receiving a suspicious SMS, fell victim of a cybercriminal intrusion into her online banking platform, whereby such cybercriminal got both her personal credentials and electronic signature.

Scammer ordered a transfer exceeding 11.000.-€ which was charged to her banking account.

Despite a complaint was duly filed, IBERCAJA rejected it. Employees and bank Director justified such refusal by assessing that "transaction had been properly recorded and authenticated", that is to say, in accordance with payment service regulations.

Bank client queried our legal services, and we initiated it by sending an out-of-Court letter to IBERCAJA explaining all legal grounds of our claim.

As a result of our legal action, in just a couple of weeks IBERCAJA redunded the whole 11.000.-€ to its client. 

Please find attached the IBERCAJA letter acknowledging our client´s right to get the money fully reimbursed.
